About

Hi — I’m Raymond Ndagano, a backend and platform engineer based in Brussels.

I build and operate Java-based, cloud-native systems — Spring Boot, Kubernetes, CI/CD and GitOps — and I’ve spent ~8 years doing it across public-sector, finance, aerospace and startup work. These days I run my own consulting practice, currently engaged on a large public-sector platform. I work best where delivery and operations meet: clean automation, dependable releases, and systems that stay up.

I’m an engineer with a philosopher’s itch: I like systems, causes, trade-offs, and the odd beauty when a simple idea explains a complex one.

Why this blog

The plan is simple: learn, build, publish. This is where I write up what I’ve been working on — the specifications, the trade-offs, and what I learned along the way. Less promise, more artifact.

I’m always extending my cloud-native craft — deeper into software architecture, secure-coding standards, and GitOps (KCNA and Secure Software Design done; CKAD and CGOA in progress).
